Square eyes is a film about what happens when you are presented a choice between facing your past or keeping on trying to run away from it. As a cinematographer i learned how to use visual elements to add more layers to a story for example: I used dim lighting to make the presence of the man in the suit more mysterious and used a dutch angle to make the viewer feel more uneasy. Especially when the man in the suit was in the shot. My role as a cinematographer was to manipulate how the story was told visually, for example: I had an element of control of the film's pace and momentum by deliberately using slow and controlled camera movements.
